Welcome to the Studio M website!

Are you a student? You can come join us at our media-orientated activities and we can bring you into contact with other projects and initiatives to which you can contribute. We create an environment in which you have the space to creatively engage with media(art). Would you like to express your creativity, but not so sure yet how? Sign up for the interest list! You can fill in whatever you would like to do and what your interest are, so we can reach out to you whenever we have something that would suit you well.

We are Studio M, an organisation for practical encounters with media(art) located within the Department of Media and Culture Studies of Utrecht University. Studio M helps students of the Humanities Faculty with realizing their own media-projects and performances. These media-productions can be anything, from film to games and from theatre to music. Besides that we are well prepared for crossovers between all kinds of media due to our multidisciplinary approach.

Engaging with the practical side is a beautiful addition to your theoretical, university degree. You can even gain some new skills while having fun. Because most of all it is lots of funs to be able to create something with fellow-students!

Studio M Viewfest 2023 & Lustrum Drinks

Studio M presents the Viewfest 2023: We will have a final show at the end of the year to celebrate the projects of students of the academic year 2022-2023, watch a musical performance by enthusiastic students and reveal the new Board 6 for the upcoming year! Afterwards, we will have reunion drinks with previous board members and former active students and celebrate the lustrum: 5 years existence of Studio M! Ready? set, Madness! Op 7 april veranderd Parnassos in een filmtheater! Makers van korte films vertellen je alles over hoe je een film produceert, delen hun ervaringen en laten hun werk zien. De bevlogen filmmakers Dylan en Lazlo geven tips en trick voor het maken van je eigen korte film. Het belooft een mooie avond te worden! Met films in allerlei genres, ontmoetingen met makers en andere filmliefhebbers en war je van alles leer over korte film. Alle films zijn geproduceerd door Studio M.
