Welcome to the Studio M website!

Are you a student? You can come join us at our media-orientated activities and we can bring you into contact with other projects and initiatives to which you can contribute. We create an environment in which you have the space to creatively engage with media(art). Would you like to express your creativity, but not so sure yet how? Sign up for the interest list! You can fill in whatever you would like to do and what your interest are, so we can reach out to you whenever we have something that would suit you well.

We are Studio M, an organisation for practical encounters with media(art) located within the Department of Media and Culture Studies of Utrecht University. Studio M helps students of the Humanities Faculty with realizing their own media-projects and performances. These media-productions can be anything, from film to games and from theatre to music. Besides that we are well prepared for crossovers between all kinds of media due to our multidisciplinary approach.

 

Engaging with the practical side is a beautiful addition to your theoretical, university degree. You can even gain some new skills while having fun. Because most of all it is lots of funs to be able to create something with fellow-students!

De bevlogen filmmakers Dylan en Lazlo geven tips en trick voor het maken van je eigen korte film. Het belooft een mooie avond te worden! Street Photography Workshop!

Hi everyone! We are organizing the first activity of 2022! 🥳 On 21st January, street photographer Dylan Nieuwland (@streetdnphotography) is going to give a street photography workshop on Google Teams! 💻 The activity will be hybrid which means that we will meet in teams, and at the end, there will be a street photography shooting session (alone or in duo's)! You could do the shooting at home or come visit us in and around the city centre for a cup of hot chocolate🍫📸 We are looking forward to seeing you there!✌🏻
